Basic comprehensive car insurance does not cover your passenger’s actions either. For example, if a passenger opens the car door without checking for oncoming vehicles and a motorbike collides with the door, injuring the rider. Since your car insurance doesn’t cover this (as your passenger is liable), you would need Legal Liability to Passengers (LLoP) coverage as an add-on to your comprehensive car insurance.
